Guylian supported Project Seahorse at Selfridges' Project Ocean
Guylian has been involved with Project Seahorse for 12 years. Through this relationship we want to make a valuable contribution to conserving the magical seahorses as well as extending all marine wildlife throughout the world.
Project Seahorse was one of the conservation groups involved in Project Ocean, an amazing project from the UK’s leading department store, Selfridges. From 11 May through to 12 June 2011, Selfridges’ Oxford Street store in London was hosting a whole set of activities to celebrate the beauty of the ocean, highlight the issue of over-fishing, help us all to better understand the threats the ocean faces, and ultimately make positive choices about the right fish to buy and eat.
Of course Guylian was fully supporting this unique marine program and helping Project Seahorse communicate their valuable work for seahorses. On May 25th Project Seahorse gave a series of multimedia presentations with accompanying activities throughout the day. Guylian was there with lots of free chocolates and a lucky draw with some great chocolate gift baskets.
And finally there was a great seahorse photo competition to win an exclusive 'behind the scenes' visit at London Zoo aquarium. The winner is Diana Thompson with her romantic photo of a red poppy embracing a Guylian chocolate seahorse. Congratulations!
